Bassist Seán Tarleton has been a full-time working professional musician for over 30 years.

A Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of North Florida’s American Music Program with a degree in Jazz Performance, he’s played an eclectic mix of genres in diverse settings and venues all over the Eastern U.S.

In addition to recording and touring with Walter Parks’ (guitarist for Richie Havens) original group Dear John, Caribbean Sound Steel Band, and Daryl Hance’s (co-founder of JJ Grey and Mofro) Power Trio, he also recorded and performed with many other notable musicians and personalities, including Lew Tabackin, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Mindi Abair, Nat Adderly, Marcus Printup, Rich Matteson, Randy Brecker, James Moody, Phil Woods, Garth Hudson, Mickey Rooney, Mary Wilson, Jerry Marotta, Cindy Cashdollar, John Sebastian, Clip Payne (P-Funk), Derek Hess and Barry Lee Harwood (Rossington Collins), Artimus Pyle (Lynyrd Skynyrd), and Rufus Reid.

Seán resides in New York’s beautiful Catskill Park and gigs regularly with The Classics and Jungle Love. He also does recording sessions and fills in with other groups, performing jazz, pop, funk, soul, rock, and more.
